I saw this idea and thought it was a genius way to incorporate the holiday season into math practice (multiplication facts specifically). This worksheet has kids total up the cost of everything in the song “12 Days of Christmas.” Here‘s the worksheet, and here‘s the full lesson plan. This would be great for any class 3rd grade and up (with varied amounts of scaffolding), or for practice with your kids at home. Merry Christmas!!

Adding with Tens – Winter Worksheet
For whatever reason, sometimes kids have a hard time realizing how simple it is to add with tens. Here’s a short (HALF SHEET) worksheet to help reinforce some basic number sense with tens. Run off copies for HALF the number of students in your class since there are two copies per page. Then cut the sheet in half and distribute. Merry Christmas!

Finish the Drawing- Christmas
Here’s a fun activity to use in a unit on symmetry or during a discussion of story setting (since lots of holiday stories take place at a gingerbread house!). Print off one page for each student and have them finish the rest of the picture. Make sure to help students focus on whatever aspect you’re learning about (symmetry, setting description, etc). You could extend this activity further by turning it into a writing project. …Or just color it and have fun!
